Hand-crafted sterling silver and natural ruby pendant by Nancy Kasper of Earthly Designs Fine Jewelry, this very special piece was commissioned by friend, Maggie Buchanan in gratitude for the contributions of Dr. Irene Pepperberg and Alex, the African Grey Parrot to the advancement of science.
Designed from photographs capturing Alex's uniqueness, a natural ruby is set to show his distinctive red feather, this hand carved and cast sterling silver pendant is offered for sale with all profits to go to The Alex Foundation. Artist/jeweler Nancy Kasper of earthlydesigns.net has been creating fine jewelry with bird, animal, and contemporary designs for over 25 years.
